The Pretty Things created some of the most exciting and innovative records of the late sixties and early seventies. Winners of the Hero award at the 2009 Mojo Honours, the band have been name checked over the years by an array of artists ranging from The Clash, David Bowie and Aerosmith through to The Libertines
For 2015 Record Store Day Madfish will be re-issuing on 7” vinyl the 1964 EP from The Pretty Things with faithfully reproduced artwork.
The EP features both tracks of their plus their second single that reached no. 10 in the UK singles chart ‘Don’t Bring Me Down’, later covered by David Bowie on his 1973 album ‘Pin Ups’ and B-side ‘We’ll Be Together’ plus their debut single ‘Rosayln’ and ‘Big Boss Man’. Neither single was released on their following albums.
