Sam (Chris Pine) would like to go back home for his father's funeral, say a couple of nice things to Mom (Michelle Pfeiffer), and get out of there. Let's just say his relationship with the old man was not warm. Ah, but his father left Sam an uncomfortable job: Sam must deliver $150,000 to someone he's never met. And that's where People Like Us finds its premise, as Sam (very mild spoiler ahead) searches for the half-sister he never knew he had. A single mom and recovering alcoholic, Frankie (played by Elizabeth Banks) is also nursing the wounds from having a mostly absent father--so she and Sam have that much in common. Also stars Olivia Wilde, Mark Duplass, and Jon Favreau
